History
Packraft Canada originally began as a non-incorporated group of packraft enthusiasts. The Packraft Canada Facebook group was formed in 2017 and maintained by volunteers for many years. With many thanks to their volunteer efforts, several successful Packraft Round Up Events were held which brought together packrafters to promote the development of our sport.
In late 2025, a group of volunteers from Packraft Canada sought to advance the legitimacy and advocacy efforts for our sport in Canada and filed the paperwork to incorporate as a non-profit. We received a Federal incorporation charter a non-profit on January 1 2026.
About
Packraft Canada is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors with diverse skillsets and interests. Our first Annual General Meeting of Members' will be held in Fall of 2026 - stay tuned for details.
